The Letter is a 2004 romance-drama film directed by Pa-oon Chantarasiri. It is a remake of a 1997 South Korean film. The story revolves around Dew, a young computer programmer, who meets Ton in Chiang Mai and they start dating each other over the phone. However, Dew's refusal to accompany her friend on a blind date results in her friend's murder. Devastated by this incident, Dew embarks on a journey to find the person responsible for her friend's death.
