Guru is a 2007 Indian Hindi-language drama film directed by Mani Ratnam. It stars Mithun Chakraborty, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, R. Madhavan, Vidya Balan, and Roshan Seth. The film's score and soundtrack were composed by A. R. Rahman. The film is not a biopic of Dhirubhai Ambani as rumored but a work of fiction. Guru was released on 12 January 2007 with its premiere at the Elgin Theatre in Toronto, Canada, on 11 January 2007.
